The Condoms and Sexual Education C.A.S.E. Project, is a health literacy training designed to meet the accessed HIV/STD and sexual health information-seeking needs of St. Louis area African Americans at-risk for acquiring or transmitting HIV/STDs. The training provides opportunities for participants to observe facilitator-demonstrated access and search techniques. Interactive, hands-on skills-building exercises, such as teach-backs and/or information retrieval exercises, are designed to allow participants to demonstrate abilities to access, identify, obtain, process and understand credible online HIV-related prevention and health information needed to make informed health decisions and change risk behaviors.
