C.A.S.E. Cards from The Community Wellness Project

The Condoms and Sexual Education C.A.S.E. Project, is a health literacy training designed to meet the accessed HIV/STD and sexual health information-seeking needs of St. Louis area African Americans at-risk for acquiring or transmitting HIV/STDs. The training provides opportunities for participants to observe facilitator-demonstrated access and search techniques. Interactive, hands-on skills-building exercises, such as teach-backs and/or information retrieval exercises, are designed to allow participants to demonstrate abilities to access, identify, obtain, process and understand credible online HIV-related prevention and health information needed to make informed health decisions and change risk behaviors.

Kickstart an Outreach Event from Black Girl Health

Kickstart is an event we created to engage the Facebook Group (Gaudenzia Connect) members about taking control of their health, instead of it controlling them. At the event we engaged women with an exercise routine/run/walk that would kick in gear their summer workout plan; and then afterwards we disseminated NLM information on HIV prevention and treatment. The pamphlet below was a part of our handouts. It was such a great way to get the EARS of the community and our target group (minority women) about the HIV crisis.
